Local brand collaborations have been growing in leaps and bounds. Apart from broadening target markets, collaborations also strengthen brand awareness. Purana, one of Indonesia’s famous local fashion brands, recently took such a step, by actively collaborating with other local fashion and non-fashion brands. A recent alliance has been that of Purana and Bali’s remarkable one-stop gift shop, The Keranjang Bali on Kuta’s by Pass.
This stunning collaboration – Purana and The Keranjang Bali – co-created a Summer Holiday-themed fashion collection using as its inspiration unique postage stamps. Purana also displays other unique accents and designs within each postage stamp design. Throughout this ‘Summer Holiday’ collection, Purana and The Keranjang Bali convey a ‘Message from Bali’ communicating beauty, culture and the messages symbolized by the design and shape of each the postage stamps. “This collaboration with The Keranjang Bali is quite challenging for me as designing merchandise is usually only vaguely comprehensible and yet must be very unique. Up until now, I have rarely known or heard any other tourism places, either local or international, that have had their merchandise produced with this unique touch of fashion. This is by far the biggest challenge for Purana.”, said Nonita Respati, Purana’s Creative Director.
As the new paradise of gift shopping in Bali, The Keranjang Bali delightfully shakes hands with this Purana collaboration. This new collection created by Purana and The Keranjang Bali is currently on countdown. The new collection symbolizes The Keranjang’s new brand colours and represents their cultural yet contemporary values.
By hosting a fashion show themed ‘Messages from Bali’ in the atrium of The Keranjang Bali, Purana will launch the Summer Holiday collection from these two brands. For this event, the atrium will be embellished with Balinese-themed decorations with a special and unique nod to Indonesia’s post office. “Public figures, celebrities, government officials and influencers will be in attendance”, reveals Sally Giovanny, owner of The Keranjang Bali. Besides the launch of this new collection, this event will also be held in support of World Tourism Day on September 27th, 2022.
“As the face of Indonesia, Bali is the first to be in the spotlight. On World Tourism Day we will seize this opportunity to portray the valued cultures and products of Indonesia through the collection by Purana x The Keranjang Bali” adds Sally Giovanny.
According to Nonita Respati, the Purama x The Keranjang Bali collection is an endeavor to jog the wearer’s memory of Bali, thanks to each items unique motifs and designs, all representational of Balinese culture. “My hope is for people to wear this unique collection on a daily basis as though they are ambassadors of Indonesia”, mentions Nonita.
The launch of this collection hopes to further enhance Indonesia and Bali’s tourism, specifically culture and design through fashion. Those interested in being the first to see this unique take within the fashion world just need to head on down to the amazing one-stop gift shop, The Keranjan Bali on By Pass Ngurah Rai, after the Sunset Underpass.
