Spring is in the air and it’s that time of year to once again rejoice in the spirit of Easter! Celebrating in proper Karma style, we will be featuring an array of specially curated, family-friendly holiday experiences over seven days. Treat yourself to an entire week of Karma Spa wellness treatments, sublime culinary creations, themed beach parties with international DJs, and romantic sunset cocktails while enjoying one of the most beautiful vistas on earth. Even the kids will have their hands full with an array of activities to keep them occupied during our exceptional Easter eggs-travaganza.
The festivities kick off on April 5th at 6pm with signature cocktails and canapés at our rooftop lounge, Temple Bar, with its incredible views of the Indian Ocean. Keep an eye out for the Easter Bunny who will be making a special appearance, while down at the Tiki Bar our resident and international guest DJs will be mixing things up from noon to 9pm daily.
Things heat up on the 6th with a Balinese-themed day featuring traditional dishes from the archipelago served at Karma’s signature restaurant di Mare. Enjoy live entertainment by way of Naluri Manca troupe (and their modern Balinese dance interpretation) while long time guest DJ and Ibiza legend, Jon sa Trinxa, making his annual return to the Tiki Bar will get the groove on along with Sydney talent, music maker, Scott Pullen. A five-course seafood feast is what to look forward to on Good Friday, as Executive Chef Joseph Antonishek prepares a curated menu including delights such as Bonito carpaccio, Hokkaido diver scallop, and Coral trout.
We’ll be pulling out all the stops for a day of thrills and chills down at Phoenix Bar on Karma Beach on the Saturday before Easter. Our troupe of dancers, acrobats and jugglers will be providing the astonishing entertainment for the entire family while clowns bring the laughs. This is also the first day that you can catch our latest artist-in-residence, Reif Myers, who will be working in-house on some very unique pieces of art. Find him down at Karma Beach where he’ll be turning a series of surfboards into bright canvases decorated with his distinctive abstract-collage style paintings. No worries if you miss Reif, as he’ll make a return visit to Karma Beach on Easter Sunday.
Here comes Peter Cottontail hopping down the bunny trail…Hippity, hoppity, Happy Easter Day! Fun for the whole family starts with Easter Brunch at di Mare from 12 – 4pm and features camel rides, an egg hunt, egg painting and more, all at Karma Beach. Our guest DJs, Diplomat of Soul (UK) and Dave Mayer (NL) along with Jon sa Trinxa, will be providing the vibes all day long, including a 70’s disco theme party at Le Club where you might even find the Easter bunny shaking it on the dance floor!
Take a trip to the magical world of Pandora on April 10th, as we screen the original 2009 Avatar at our open-air cinema, complete with roving Na’vi characters, dancers and décor to make it all come alive. And we close it all out the following day with our down-home Texas barbeque from 12pm – 8pm. You won’t want to miss out on the mouth-watering selection of pit classics like brisket, pulled pork and ribs, along with all the fixings, including homemade BBQ sauce, baked beans and slaw. Rustle up that appetite and head on down early with the kids to Karma Beach as our barbeque tends to sell out.
