Five-star luxury resort Conrad Bali today announced the launch of JIWA Wellness: a reimagined wellness concept designed to support guests’ entire being through an array of specially developed treatments, therapies and experiences. One of the most comprehensive programs of its kind among Bali’s five-star resorts, JIWA Wellness, a transformation of Conrad Bali’s original JIWA spa concept, will help promote personal growth and enrichment through its three pillars: JIWA Spa, JIWA Sense, and JIWA Strength. The name JIWA is derived from the Indonesian word for “soul,” signifying the resort’s dedication to honoring local healing traditions and striving for balance in mind, body and spirit.
JIWA Spa, the first pillar, allows guests to truly be immersed in a rejuvenating spa escape, where natural formulas and ancient techniques come together to offer restorative treatments. Guests are invited to melt away their stress through the spa’s extensive range of facilities, including nine treatment rooms, two spa villas, a steam room, sauna, whirlpools, a hydro plunge pool, and nail care station. To conclude a session, a revitalizing swim in the spa’s private 25-meter pool is the ideal way to feel refreshed and recharged.
The second pillar, JIWA Sense, is designed to amplify each of the five senses through therapeutic treatments based on authentic Balinese and Indian healing practices. Performed under the expert guidance of Conrad Bali’s resident healer and member of the World Pranic Healing Foundation, Dewa Ayu Mas Damayanti, those who seek connection with their inner selves and a renewed sense of well-being will be captivated by a range of experiences including chakra balancing, sound healing, Balinese Full and New Moon rituals, crystal anti-aging facials, and sunrise meditation.
A highlight of JIWA Sense is the introduction of its innovative sleep therapy: SWAY. Unique to Conrad Bali, SWAY combines ancient and contemporary techniques proven to improve sleep to help those experiencing sleep issues or who simply desire deep relaxation. Enveloped in a hammock under a weighted blanket and eye pillow and immersed in aromatherapy and the sounds of nature, guests are gently rocked side-to-side while receiving tension dissolving acupressure massage. Inducing a sense of extreme comfort and tranquility, SWAY epitomizes Conrad Bali’s research-driven, ‘respectful of traditions’ approach to modern day wellness.
The third pillar, JIWA Strength, aims to condition and optimize physical strength and mental resilience. Guests can choose from a variety of activities including aerial and aqua yoga, cycling, customized gym workouts, tennis and circuit training to stay active and energized throughout their stay. Swimming enthusiasts can also look forward to four pools for lap swimming.
“Wellness journeys that address mind, body and spirit are becoming increasingly important for travelers, and Bali has become one of the world’s leading destinations for such experiences,” says Kevin Girard, General Manager of Conrad Bali. “Through JIWA Wellness, we are offering guests one of the most comprehensive range of treatments and therapies among the island’s five-star resorts. Our thoughtfully and respectfully curated experiences will instill guests with a deep sense of peace and relaxation, allowing them to reconnect with themselves.”
With experiences ranging from sleep therapy and sound healing to aerial yoga, this new wellness program is one of the most comprehensive of its kind among all of Bali’s five-star resorts.
