Inaugural Bali Craft Spirits Festival A Huge Hit For Artisanal Enthusiasts At St Tropez, Canggu.

July 2nd Bali… More than 500 Yakkers and craft cocktail enthusiasts hit the rooftop at St Tropez Bar at Finns Canggu for the inaugural Bali Craft Spirits Festival sponsored by The Yak Magazine and Pro Motion Events.

With a lineup of the island’s best mixologists and craft food providers, plus three of Bali’s best DJs and a trio of top local bands, the event took in the sunset and went on late into the night.

Top craft alcohol brands represented at the festival-style event included Kaja, Karusotju, East Indies Gin, Nusantara Cold Brew, Montelobos, Selaka Arak, White Monkey wine, Kura Kura Beer, Island Brewery and Sababay spirits.

Food was provided by restaurant stalls including Luma, Milano, Pie Society, Naga Eight, 2080 Burgers, and Jalapeno.

There was also a Hydration Station with free festival water kindly supplied by San Pellegrino and Acqua Panna.

The Seminar set-up at the venue’s pavilion also gave visitors the chance to listen, learn and sample East Indies Gin, Galdiran Cigars and Karusotju.

Hiro Drinks, Galdiran Cigar, Jamu Shack, Bottles for Earth, Niu Electric Bike, Karna Crochet, Fusion Shisha Bali, Puri Tomato, Boemi Botanicals, Casa Grata, Kali Dogwear, Expat Roaster, Numacco, Handep, and IKKU Jewelry were the fabulous vendor brands available in the Pavilion, to add even more flair, live Sun-Code Artisit, Sunny Dilinger brought live brush strokes to the Bali Crafts Spirits Festival arena also in the walk-through Pavilion of St Tropez.

The evening kicked off with MC Nigel Simmonds from The Yak and DJ Mistral who led the crowd into a performance by upcoming Bali band The Nameks, followed by Modjorido and fresh off their Australian tour The Hydrant.

All the way from Jakarta DJ Hogi Wirjono of Future 10, pioneer of the Indonesian house music scene, kept it real with the music and cocktails flowing followed by DJ Andy Chunes of PNNY fame.

On the hour the main bar featured a takeover from some of the best mixologists on the island from local heroes Aperitif, Sundara, Boliche, Huge, Shady Fox, The Shady Pig, Leblon, 40 Thieves and Donna Bar Ubud, each of which is offering two for one cocktails during the week following the event.

Said festival organizer Sophie Digby of the Yak Magazine: “I think what we created was a new space for Bali’s upcoming craft brands and we look forward to doing this again next year.”

Pro Motion Events guru Tina Ardie expressed her enthusiasm with: “It was such a pleasure to see Bali back and to once again be involved with The Yak Magazine to bring a signature event to the island.”
