A long, immersive weekend of art, culture, space, tastes and performances will take place for the second time this year on the 9th to the 11th of December at Plataran Resort in Canggu.
This initiative, founded by Budiman Ong, Rudi Winata and Yang Yang Hartono, was a great success back in July, and brought over 3500 visitors to the three-day festival.
This second edition of Jia Curated Kiosks will creatively connect communities under the theme of ‘Material Alchemy’. It will all be about presenting the right selection and combination of materials as a core to all the great products and designs. “By way of exploration, pairing different materials or ingredients together, we can surprise even ourselves with the trial and error findings that can reach far beyond the imagination” comment the Founders.
‘Home’ is where the heart beats and this is what will be brought to Jia Curated Kiosks’ programs; Art, Culture, Space, Tastes & Performances provide a comfortable platform where people can feel at home and be at ease with their companions and furry friends, where music, food and creative family-friendly activities are shared.
With material selection and alchemy as a main criterion in curating brands, there will be a medley of over 30 wholesome home-ware brands, interactive workshops, artisanal showcases, exciting cultural and music performances, including a selection of eclectic food and beverage stalls to enjoy.
In line with the collaborative values, they have collaborated with Kayu Lapis Indonesia, an integrated company that focuses on quality and environmental-friendly wood products, and DDAP Architect to assemble the Jia Pavilion.
This pavilion will be a space curated for guests to experience design comfortably. It will feature the works of 20+ Indonesian designers along with a material showcase from partners, Aerobu and Sandei.
This December this event will bring together the communities and creative energies that sprung up around the first festival and will carry on the goal to spark further collaborations and introduce local brands to the fun loving public.
