Usually when people mention lemon and salt together I almost cringe at the next possible word – tequila. Thankfully not the case this time round. No hangovers here!
Lemon & Salt is a breezy, new restaurant – cafe, bar and juicery – barely 300 meters away from the hugely popular Berawa beach. Located on the ground floor of the newly-opened Citadines hotel, the recently launched Lemon & Salt is one of the best off-sand options after your early morning Berawa beach walk.
For all-day breakfasts try to choose between the Lemon & Salt Breakfast – Two eggs your style, hash brown potatoes, crispy bacon, fresh rocket salad, roasted tomato, caramelized onion and crispy sour dough bread; or the Lemon & Salt Start of the Day – two poached eggs, sautéed mushrooms, roasted tomato, dill hollandaise, English muffins, watercress salad with a choice of spinach, bacon or smoked salmon!
Other options are Eggs Benedict and Eggs skillet.
Looking for an alternative to eggs? Try the Granola bowl, the Balinese fried rice or fried noodles, Smoothie bowl or Fresh-cut fruit. Maybe you’d prefer sandwiches? Try Club, BLAT (A for Avo), Ham & cheese croissant, the Caesar wrap or the Avo on toast. Then from the salad menu find Caesar, Healthy Greens or Red Tuna Tartar, all can be accompanied by their fabulous coffees, teas and, dare I say it, bakery selection!! If your are really doing all-day maybe order a beer or two instead! Currently prices run from Rp. 55K upwards BUT with an opening promo of 50% discount on food, you definitely need to check this place out. Top that off with a complimentary Breakfast Club Membership – which gives you one totally free breakfast after every 7th, and you’re onto a really good deal.
Apologies, we seem to have got all caught up on breakfast. We should mention that Lemon & Salt also have a superbly priced lunch and dinner menu, beautifully crafted by Executive Chef Jeremy Tourret.
Chef Tourret’s L&S signatures include the Slow-cooked yellow chicken breast or the amazingly flavorsome 24-hour Slow cooked pork belly. We also have our eye on the Barramundi and the Tiger prawns. Delicious. Lunch and dinner menus range from Rp. 95K to Rp. 185K. High-speed WiFi, good coffee and a gentle, cooling off-the-ocean-breeze in this fuss-free café – cum bistrot – makes for a relaxing morning, lunch or early dinner, out of the office, or out of the house.
Last but not least, we are super excited to taste Chef Tourret’s menu in their soon-to-be-open ground-floor restaurant, it’s bound to be fabulous!! We also gather they have a rooftop – just imagine the sunset from up there, with a cocktail in hand and no sand between our toes – finally we can catch a sunset with our heels on!
