Regal one-stop-playground claims Seminyak’s hotspot crown
A decadent new “speakeatery” in the heart of Seminyak, Kingsway Bali is fast becoming the favoured haunt of discerning partygoers, cigar lovers, foodies, and cocktail- hounds.
Kingsway Bali makes venue-hopping an outdated concept by offering a kaleidoscopic selection of fine dining, sexy bites, bountiful platters, libations, cigars, games, and entertainment in one playground. Opening for indulgent lunches, this self-styled ‘juke joint’ gains steam after dark.
Kingsway is named after its philosophy of treating every guest like royalty. Upon arrival, revelers are guided to “thrones” to savour a top-notch cigar, delicious tapas, cocktail, or a fine dining experience with live musical entertainment.
Kingsway launched on 10 October 2021 with a spectacular Great Gatsby-themed Grand Opening. When the urge to sing, dance or mingle takes hold, guests joined the karaoke lounge, dancefloor, billiards table, or am urban rooftop bar with views of the bustling town below. As guests explore the space, it becomes a playground of infinite possibilities.
Inspired by the prohibition-fuelled Gilded Age, champagne and gin-focused cocktails are always in style at Kingsway Bali. The signature drink, Putin’s Lady Storm, is an intriguing concoction of baijiu, Cointreau, passionfruit, kaffir lime infused with home-made syrup, all then balanced with a spark of lime juice.
However, guests can equally choose to perk up with a locally roasted espresso or explore an extensive wine list. The latter is a labour of love that has taken years to curate and assemble from the vineyards of France, Italy, Peru, Argentina, Spain, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and Indonesia. Highlights include the Chateau Margaux Premier Grand Cru 2002 and a Premier Grand Cru Classe “A” from the Saint-Emilion classification.
“Our aim is to teleport our guests into a brand new ‘roaring twenties’ where their senses stay engaged, the good times keep rolling and their every wish is fulfilled,” says Badrusalam, Business Director at Kingsway Bali. “Looking forward, we aim to open similar ‘kingdoms’ in Surabaya, Semarang, Makassar, Palembang, and Medan.”
Generous seafood, cold meat sharing platters and modern main dishes capture the indulgent flavours of the Jazz Age. Diners take trips around with world with international tapas signatures, while fine dining starters include artisan sushi rolls and fresh seafood classics with a twist.
Decorated elegantly throughout, Kingsway Bali is divided into five themed areas: live entertainment, main bar, fine garden dining, urban starlight rooftop bar and a premium cigar lounge complete with a bar and karaoke facility. Marble and RIEDEL glass are imported from Europe while other interior elements are the handiwork of Balinese craftsmen. Small, intimate nooks are tastefully furnished with vintage antiquities sourced from around the globe.
