Swiss-Belhotel proudly announces the launch of its Māua brand with the first property, Māua Nusa Penida, Indonesia, scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2022.
Māua – is the brand name that is adopted from the Maori culture, a New Zealand heritage developed as a special label for the hotels that display a special relationship with the environment. Built around the idea of togetherness, connecting the strength of people and nature, Māua Nusa Penida focuses on being environmentally friendly, aiming at reducing the carbon footprint, classified as a natural habitat, and surrounded by natural elements. Nusa Penida is a small island off the southeast coast of the main island of Bali, next to Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan.

Quickly becoming one of Bali’s most popular attractions, this island paradise is a world away from high-paced city life. The island of Nusa Penida is just 40 minutes by speed boat from Sanur, Bali. There are many other gems to unveil in and around Nusa Penida, such as Crystal Bay, Diamond Beach, Broken Beach, and Kelingking Beach, with the latter recently selected as the “Most Instagrammable Beach” in 2021. The Teletubbies Hill, a vast open green hill situated about 11 kilometers to the southeast of Kelingking Beach, is another must-visit spot. Nusa Penida is also known for its coral reefs surrounding the island which house some of the most unique sea creatures in the whole world, providing a special experience for divers and snorkelers.
