Karma Kandara, the iconic luxury resort in Uluwatu, is celebrated for its stunning location and exceptional offerings. Under the guidance of Executive Chef-SEAP Joseph Antonishek, the resort’s culinary experiences are set to undergo exciting transformations.
Beginning last July, Le Club 22, nestled on the picturesque Karma Beach, unveiled its new focus on Italian-Mediterranean cuisine with a flavor-forward California approach, promising a culinary experience that celebrates both exceptional flavors and quality ingredients.
Meanwhile, the award-winning di Mare restaurant at Karma Kandara, hailed as one of Asia’s Top 50 Restaurants by Exquisite Taste Magazine, also embarked on its own culinary odyssey. Dinner service showcases inventive modern Indonesian cuisine with a subtle twist of traditional Mediterranean flavors. The signature di Mare menu presents a diverse selection made up of four tantalizing tasting menus and à la carte options alongside an impressive range of 30 vegetarian, vegan and gluten free choices.
During lunchtime, di Mare takes guests on an international culinary voyage, highlighting signature dishes alongside flavors inspired by Karma Group resorts worldwide. Chef Joseph shares his enthusiasm, stating, “We proudly present authentic Bamia, a goat leg okra stew sourced with genuine spices from Cairo’s bustling souk, delivering an unparalleled flavor. Additionally, our menu reflects my travels in India, as well as captivating influences from the Thai, Vietnamese, and European culinary traditions.”
Down at Karma Beach and at the cozy Tiki Bar, where the sea, sun, and culinary wonders converge, guests are invited to immerse themselves in a delightful “beachy snacky” concept that celebrates flavors from around the globe. With inspiration gathered from his recent journeys, Chef Joseph unveils a tantalizing new menu that is sure to awaken the taste buds.
Prepare to indulge in the mouthwatering delights of Miyazaki A5 yakitori, a true gem discovered in Tokyo, and authentic Baja fish tacos made with homemade flour tortillas, will transport you to the streets of San Felipe. Of course, we can’t forget the Karma Beach classics, including the legendary wood-fired pizzas crafted with imported flour, succulent tomatoes, and Fontina cheese sourced directly from Italy and elevated with the finest local ingredients.
These exciting culinary transformations having unfolded in July at Karma Kandara’s flagship restaurants, promise a diverse and captivating dining experience, beautifully showcasing Chef Joseph’s global inspirations throughout the rest of 2023 and beyond!
