We came, we saw, we enjoyed. Phone-free for a few hours. Bali’s Fab40 @Savaya Bali on Bali’s fabulous Bukit!
And no, it was NOT The Yak Awards, there was no online voting, no stage or microphone, no pomp or circumstance. It was just a gathering of Yakkers to celebrate other Yakkers – see the event pics below!!
So, a massive shout-out to our fabulous host Savaya Bali, their amazing team and of course our ever-supportive, divine, gorgeous sponsors, and we’d like to name them…
Bali Sustainable Seafood brought Smoked salmon and dill on baguette; The Forge served their Ultimate Cuban Sandwich, House smoked salmon sliders and Spicy chipotle chicken sliders; Queen’s Tandoor gave us an Indian flavor with Chicken minced curry balls and a Spinach curry with naan; Indian Express – one of Queen’s Tandoor’s siblings spiced it up with a Butter chicken rice bowl; Sanur’s The Sandwich Bar (managed by SMG) put together the Ultimate toastie, a Vegan Turkish and Double cold cut sandwiches with the Flamingo Bali Beach Club (managed by SMG) offering Chicken avo or Chicken Alabama sarnies! We finished that all off with one of Bali’s top chocolate producers – POD.
Our drinks came courtesy of Samaya team’s cocktaileers being creative and serving thirst quenching cocktails using Sababay Grappa, and twinning Nusantara Cold Brew with Sababay’s Original Vodka into a Espresso Martini. The go to beer came from the recent newcomer in beer-land – Kura Kura.
What a privilege it was to have these fabulous brands ensuring we had fabulous drinks and delicious food as we swayed, danced and chatted our way through our pared-back, phone-free event.
We thank all of these above for whetting our whistles and assuaging our hunger as, all the while, Halim Ardie and Tina T put out some cracking tunes on the decks at the CUBE.
