… Ram Hiralal to chat about Jumeirah Bali, her life and her experiences managing this new-to-Bali, luxury Hotel brand in Pecatu, South Bali…

I gather you are no stranger to Bali…

On joining the Jumeirah brand, how did that come about?
I have worked in the hospitality industry for most of my life and have done eight hotel openings. Bali has been my second home, as I worked two assignments here before returning for Jumeirah Bali’s opening. Opening this resort was a perfect welcome back to the island of gods and another great challenge to add to my journey.

The resort is described as contemporary, however many of your experiences are anchored in tradition…which experiences are you most proud of?
Working with Balinese people is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to help them develop professionally and be a part of their hospitality journey. As a coach and mentor, I can help them build their skills and confidence in their chosen career path. With guidance and support, I can help them reach their goals and become the best version of themselves.

Can you briefly describe Jumeirah Bali?
Jumeirah Bali is an exquisite all-villa resort that offers guests a memorable and luxurious stay.
